Moldovan president conveys congratulatory message to Chisinau city, its residents
Chisinau, 14 October /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu congratulates all those who today celebrate the Dedication Day of the Chisinau city, the presidential press service has reported.
„Congratulations, Chisinau – the city where at least one third of the Moldova’s population lives and works, studies and creates. The place where, in its history of 586 years, gathered in the same space diverse cultures and people, becoming ‘’at home,’’ for everybody,’’ reads the message by the head of state.
In her congratulation wishes, President Maia Sandu stresses that each of us has his/her own life story with Chisinau, but no matter where we are, we bear in our hearts also a piece of Moldova’s capital. ‘’Through its people, through their credo, work and self-denial, Chisinau has been and will remain an important symbol of the country, generator of innovating ideas and events, bearer and animator of our spirit of freedom,’’ the head of state said.
„Our duty is presently to take care of it, to protect its past and create a modern, prosperous and friendly city for the next generations. A city for people. It fully deserves this, just as all those who live here deserve it. Congratulations to Chisinau and congratulations to the Chisinau residents,’’ Maia Sandu also said in her message conveyed on the occasion of the municipality’s Dedication Day.
