Moldovan president says Tricolor should be carried not only on chest, but also in hearts
The Republic of Moldova today celebrates the State Flag Day. On this occasion, President Maia Sandu conveyed a message of encouragement and solidarity for all citizens.
‘’Our Tricolor, a witness to our national rebirth, inspires us to move forward with dignity and hope. Under this flag, we have always chosen peace, freedom and justice,’’ the head of state said.
President Sandu emphasized the importance of carrying the tricolor not just as a visible symbol, but also as an expression of our values and ideals. 'Let us carry the Tricolor not only on our chest, but also in our hearts and honor it every day through our actions - with solidarity and confidence in our country,’’ added the head of state.
The Tricolor was designated as the state flag by the MPs of the first parliament on 27 April 1990. The Flag Day was established by the parliament of Moldova on April 23, 2010.
