Amendments to regulations on drugs compensation enter into force
Chisinau, 4 October /MOLDPRES/- A copy of the recipe for compensated drugs will be given to patient and will not be preserved in drugstore. This amendment is meant to efficiently inform people about medical prescriptions throughout treatment.
According to the press service of the National Health Insurance Company (CNAM), the amendments entered into force on 1 October, as a result of the recent changes made in the government decision on compensation of medicines.
The above-mentioned decision was taken for reasons that so far, while getting compensated medicines in the drugstore, the applicant had no information about the period, administration of preparations, which influenced effectiveness and quality of treatment.
Thus, starting from 1 October, the recipes for compensated medicines are prescribed in three copies. The first copy is attached by pharmacist to the report submitted to CNAM, the second one is offered to beneficiary of drugs, and the third is left at the doctor.
Under the regulations, to benefit from compensated medicines, the patient has to be registered with a family doctor and must be insured medically. While prescribing drugs, the family doctor, pediatrician, endocrinologist, psychiatrist or neurologist will set down common international name of a single drug.
The list of compensated drugs from mandatory health insurance funds can be accessed at: http://fileserver.cnam.md/mc/Lista_medicamentelor_compensate-Ordin-500-A-733-din-23.09.16.pdf.
The council for compensated medicines has earlier decided to extend the list of preparations by 65, reaching 140 of pharmaceutical products. The Health Ministry expects that as a result of the new amendments, the rate of drugs compensation for adults will be 70 per cent, and for children – 100 per cent.
