
Moldova's Agency for Consumer's Protection warns about observance of sanitary norms in swimming pools
Chisinau, 23 July /MOLDPRES/ - The Agency for Consumer’s Protection and Market Supervision (APCSP) has warned residents that, despite the hot weather, when swimming pools, lakes are more often visited by people interested to refresh themselves, nevertheless, only the specially arranged places must be chosen and which are to meet the sanitary and hygienic requirements, in order to avoid possible risks to health.
According to the Agency, maximal attention should be paid to the following aspects: the tariffs for services must be posed in visible places, so that they may be seen my each consumer; the provider of services is obliged to give a cash voucher or any other document for the services paid by consumers; a regulation is necessary, which should contain the hygiene measures which must be observed by those who use swimming pools and it should be posted in a visible place.
Also, a register for the record of the bathing water quality is needed; the economic agent is obliged to make available to people, at request, the results of the pool’s water monitoring; annexes should be for swimming pools with the observance of the conditions of endowment of materials necessary for personal hygiene. At the same time, it is necessary that the access of people with open wounds, skin diseases or transmissible diseases is banned.
The Agency for Consumer’s Protection and Market Supervision comes up with the urge to the citizens to be cautious when they choose the places for leisure. Or, if they face providers of services who do not observe their rights of consumers, they should call the Consumer’s phone 022 51 51 51.
