Moldovan canoeist wins silver medal at World Cup

Chisinau, 13 May /MOLDPRES/ - The National Olympic and Sports Committee (CNOS) on 12 May evening informed that Serghei Tarnovschi had won the silver medal at the Canoe Sprint World Cup.

The competition was held in the Szeged city of Hungary. ‘’The performer from Moldova registered the result 1:52.31 on the distance of 500 metres and was outrun by Romanian Catalin Chirila (1:50.72),’’ CNOS said.

Loic Leonard from France ranked third with the result 1:54.29.
