Moldovan swimmers won several medals at Grand Prix in Bulgaria
Chisinau, May 25. /MOLDPRES/- Moldovan swimmers had a good performance at the Grand Prix in Bulgaria.
According to the National Olympic and Sports Committee (CNOS), swimmer Constantin Malachi won five gold medals at the Bulgarian Grand Prix. He prevailed in the distances of 50, 100 and 200 meters breaststroke, as well as in the 4×50 mixed and 4×50 freestyle relays.
"Three gold medals for Dan Siminel as well. In addition to the 50 meters freestyle, he competed brilliantly in two relays.
Tatiana Salcutan achieved a very good result before the World Championship. She won the 200 meters backstroke with a result of 2.10.68. Also on the podium were Maria Corlăteanu, Dinu Guțanu, Roman Savici, Arina Odinscaia, Natalia Zaițeva or Pavel Vorona. In total, the Republic of Moldova won 14 gold, 9 silver and 11 bronze medals," CNOS says.
About 400 swimmers from seven countries competed at the competition in Burgas.
