In June, Energocom purchased electricity at price of 131 euros/MWh

Energocom purchased 314,011 MWh of electricity in June at average price of 131.52 euros/MWh.

According to Energocom, the electricity demand was covered both from domestic sources and imports. Thus, locally produced electricity covered 35.31% of the consumption needs for June. Of this amount, 33.56% was supplied by renewable energy parks and plants, and 1.75% by CET-Nord and Termoelectrica.

The remaining consumption needs were covered through imports, which accounted for 64.69% of the total volume purchased. Of this amount, 50.41% was delivered under bilateral contracts concluded with suppliers and producers from Romania and Ukraine, while 14.28% was procured via the OPCOM and BRM platforms on the Day-Ahead Market (DAM).

The purchase costs do not include taxes and expenses related to transmission, capacity reservation, and other logistical costs.

Since 1 January 2025, the right bank of the Dniester River has no longer received electricity from the Cuciurgan Power Plant, after the Russian concern Gazprom halted deliveries of natural gas to the Republic of Moldova. Under these conditions, consumption is covered from domestic sources and imports.
