Termoelectrica: Over 800 million lei state compensation for paying bills for consumers
Chisinau, May 19 /MOLDPRES/- The tenants of about 200 thousand apartments in the capital benefited in the 2022-2023 heating season from compensations from the state budget of more than 800 million lei (40 million euros) for paying energy bills. Termoelectrica presented the data today.
According to the company, in March, the largest part of the compensations was allocated from the energy vulnerability fund worth 223 million lei, which represents a 47% payment compensation for the bills issued for thermal energy.
The majority of Termoelectrica consumers were placed in the category of very high vulnerability, which means that about 103 thousand apartments/consumers paid a tariff of 1,450 lei/Gcal for thermal energy.
In the 2021-2022 heating season, Termoelectrica consumers benefited from state compensation worth 524 million lei.
