Moldovan deputy premier meets Ukraine's special representative for Transnistrian settlement

Chisinau, 12 September /MOLDPRES/- Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign and European Integration Minister Andrei Galbur today met Special Representative of Ukraine on the Transnistrian conflict settlement Viktor Kryzhanivsky, on a two-day working visit to Moldova, the MAEIE’s information and media relations service has reported.

The two officials exchanged opinions on the Transnistrian conflict settlement and the concrete ways to advance on the case, to the extent of the commitments of the sides involved in the dialogue. The meeting provided an opportunity for an exchange of views on a new round of negotiations in the 5+2 format, reiterating the Moldovan authorities’ openness to identify a viable solution respecting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Moldova. At the same time, the official stressed the priority attention that Moldova attaches to the withdrawal of Russian troops and ammunition deployed in Transnistria, noting the importance of partners’ support in this regard.
