
Moldovan PM has meeting with Ambassador of Bulgaria
Chisinau, 4 October /MOLDPRES/ - The development of the Moldovan-Bulgarian relations and the close cooperation between the Chisinau and Sofia authorities in the carrying out of Moldova’s European agenda have been the subjects tackled at a meeting between Prime Minister Dorin Recean and new Ambassador of Bulgaria to Moldova Maia Dobreva, the government’s communication and protocol department reported.
The PM referred to the measures undertaken by the authorities to back and promote the cultural diversity and the intercultural dialogue. In this respect, the prime minister gave the example the contribution of the Bulgarian community from the Taraclia district to the strengthening of the partnership with Bulgaria.
„The accession to the European Union is a strategic goal of Moldova and a national priority. We committed to edify a modern country, which can produce well-being for each citizen and representative of each ethnic group,’’ Prime Minister Dorin Recean said at the meeting with Ambassador Maia Dobreva.
The officials also touched upon possibilities of development of the commercial and economic relations between the states, noting, in the context, the organization of a meeting of the Moldovan-Bulgarian commission for economic cooperation in 2024. The sides also referred to the perspective of cooperation in the energy and environment sectors.
