Moldovan PM at Antalya Diplomacy Forum says supporting Moldova means strengthening security of entire European continent
Prime Minister Dorin Recean, on the sidelines of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, has participated in a discussion panel, where he referred to the geopolitical context and the importance of identifying viable solutions to overcome current challenges.
The PM reiterated that joining the European Union stayed a strategic objective for Moldova, essential for the country's security and development.
"I emphasized that Moldova is a peaceful country, aspiring to become an EU member by 2030 and open to investment and advantageous cooperation with other countries. We are pleased to see that more Europeans understand that an expanded Europe is safer, more peaceful and more prosperous," said Prime Minister Dorin Recean.
At the same time, the prime minister touched upon the recent economic and security challenges, as well as the hybrid attacks targeting Moldova. Recean highlighted that there were efforts aimed at dividing the society and undermining trust in democratic processes.
"Moldova endures. We are a frontline democracy defending European values. Supporting Moldova means strengthening the security of the entire continent," the prime minister said.
The fourth edition of the Diplomacy Forum takes place in Antalya on April 11-13. The event brings together heads of state and government, ministers, and experts to address current topics on the regional and international agendas.
