Almost 100 hectares from more Moldovan districts compromised by last days' rains
Chisinau, 4 May /MOLDPRES/ - Almost 100 hectares of lands from the districts of Leova, Comrat, Telenesti were hit by torrential rains with hail from 2-3 May.
Data by the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations, collected from territorial subdivisions, shows that the rains with hail destroyed 15 hectares of vegetables and nine hectares of lucerne in the Filipeni, village, southern Leova district.
One hectare of crops and 72 ha of orchards were stuck in mud in Comrat, Autonomous Territorial Unit of Gagauzia. Damages were also reported in the settlement Inesti, central Telenesti district, where more farmlands sown with sunflower and maize, were destroyed.
Territorial commission for emergency situations work on the spot, estimating the material damages inflicted.
