Moldova judoka qualifies for semifinals of 2024 Paris Olympic Games
Chisinau, 29 July /MOLDPRES/ - Judoka Adil Osmanov, weight category of 73 kg, today qualified for the semifinals of the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, after he had gained three victories against his adversaries.
At the inaugural stage, Adil Osmanov managed to defeat a judoka from the USA, Jack Yonezuka. Subsequently, Adil Osmanov defeated, at Golden Score, an Uzbek sportsman, Murodjon Yuldoshev.
In the quarterfinals, Adil Osmanov defeated, also at Golden Score, Erdenebayar Batzaya from Mongolia.
At the semifinals scheduled for 17:00, Adil Osmanov wrestles with French judoka Joan-Benjamin Gaba .It is worth mentioning that Denis Vieru on 28 July brought the first medal for Moldova’s team at the Olympic Games. Vieru will receive two million lei for this historical performance in the Moldovan judo.
