Moldovan deputy foreign minister receives Ukrainian ambassador

Chisinau, 18 July /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Minister of foreign Affairs and European Integration Lilian Darii received today the Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Moldova Ivan Gnatyshin, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry's information and media communication department has reported.

The discussion focused on the current stage and the perspective of the bilateral relations between the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine in various fields of mutual interest. In this context, there was expressed the joint interest to further promote political dialogue, boost trade and economic co-operation and intensify interaction in the humanitarian field.

In particular, the interlocutors underlined the need to undertake necessary actions to resume the activity of the Intergovernmental Moldova-Ukrainian Commission on Trade and Economic Co-operation.

Also, during the meeting, the officials made an extensive exchange of views on the Transnistrian settlement process.
