Moldova's Ambassador to Ukraine ends diplomatic mission
Valeriu Chiveri has informed that he was concluding his mandate as Moldova’s Ambassador to Ukraine. The diplomat emphasized that, during his four-year service in the neighboring country, he witnessed ‘’deep tragedies, but also the sincere joy of achievements that gave hope.’’
Valeriu Chiveri highlighted that ‘’a special chapter of his life is coming to an end’’ and that he departs ‘’with a heart full of gratitude and with valuable friendships.’’
‘’A special chapter of my life is coming to an end. It was an honor to represent Moldova and to exercise my diplomatic mandate in Ukraine for almost four years. The beginning of the war found me in Kyiv, where, alongside many of you, I endured the ordeal of bombings and attacks. I witnessed deep tragedies, but also the sincere joy of achievements that gave hope. A country means, above all, its people. I leave with a heart full of gratitude, with valuable friendships and with memories that will accompany me forever. Thank you for the trust, support and moments of closeness that gave meaning to this journey,” said Valeriu Chiveri.
At the same time, the diplomat thanked the Embassy’s team for its professionalism. “I would like to thank my colleagues at the Embassy. We were a united team in difficult times and your professionalism, attitude and solidarity made a difference. I am grateful for every day we worked together,” noted the Ambassador.
Valeriu Chiveri also said that every ending brings a new beginning - an opportunity, as well as a challenge.
“As it is well known, every ending brings a new beginning - an opportunity, but also a challenge. I sincerely hope to meet this challenge! I am sure that our paths will cross again. Until then, I wish everyone health, fulfillment and happiness in everything you do. And, of course, Peace! Peace and Victory!” concluded the official.
Valeriu Chiveri was appointed as Ambassador of Moldova to Ukraine in late 2021.
