As many as 1,258 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 3 April /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 6,132samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 1,258 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed, of which ten import ones. As many as 234,394 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), 32 out of all cases are medical employees: physicians - 11, medical assistants –10 and auxiliary staff -10.

As many as 4,029 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 324 are in extremely serious condition (61 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus).

In the context, 9,851 persons are treated at home with easy and moderate forms of coronavirus and 19,330 are under supervision at home.

Another 1,756 people have been treated. As many as 213,559 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another 44 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 5,092 people have died of coronavirus in all. The virus killed also a 63-year-old medical assistant of the Health Centre from the Valcinet village. As many as 109 medical employees died because of the coronavirus infection till present.
