Moldovan, Romanian border police officers exchange trinkets
Chisinau, 01 March /MOLDPRES/ – Moldovan and Romanian border police have met today in the middle of the Leuseni – Albita road bridge to offer each other Martisors (trinkets) and salute the spring arrival.
The action is being carried out for the fourth consecutive year. "The Border Police (PF) wants you a special spring, full of energy, colour, emotions and beautiful achievements!" – this is the message sent to Romanian colleagues, accompanied by the spring symbol.
In addition, the border guards have offered today the trinkets to the ones crossing the state border (FS). The lucky ones were travellers who returned to Moldova throughout the Leuseni crossing. They also received a hand – made greeting card, stated the General Inspectorate of Border Police (IGPF).
Martisor is celebrated today by the popular Google search engine. It displays the traditional Martisor on the main page. The ones which click on the image are being redirected to a series of info about Martisor and its history.
Martisor was enrolled in December 2017 in the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity (PCIU) of UNESCO.
