Prohibition on fishing expires, except for species included in Red Book of Moldova
Chisinau, 18 June /MOLDPRES/ – The period of prohibition for fishing in natural water basins, established by the Environment Agency (AM), ended in Moldova in the late of March.
Thus, commencing 16 June, it is permitted fishing of all fish species, except for those included in the Red Book of Moldova.
Also, it is prohibited fishing throughout the year: 100 m upstream and downstream of bridges over the Dniester and Prut rivers; at the mouth of the river Prut of tributaries Larga, Vilia, Lopatnic, Racovat, Ciuhur, Camenca, Garla Mare, Delia, Narnova, Lapusna, Sarata, Tigheci; at the mouth of the river Dniester of tributaries Ciorna, Raut, Ichel, Bac, Botna, at a distance of 500 m from both sides of the mouths, and along these tributaries, 05 km from the confluence, in the Turunciuc arm on the water course over a distance of 500 m from the branch.
Also, it is not permitted to fish in Goieni bay; in Beleu lake; in the Dniester river – in the sectors of village Naslavcea, 01 km downstream and from the dam of the Dubasari reservoir, at a distance of 300 m downstream; in the Ohrincea meadow of the river Raut.
According to the legislation on fish farming, it is forbidden to fish in the evacuation channel of the Thermoelectric Power Plant (CTE) in Moldova, in the Cuciurgan reservoir at a distance of 500 m to the north and south of the confluence and 300 m to the lake; in the old riverbed Prut from the dam of the Costesti – Stanca hydrotechnical node till the confluence with the main bed; in the Prut river 03 km downstream and 500 m upstream of the dam of the Costesti – Stanca hydro – technical node; in the Dniester river upstream from the dam of the Dubasari Hydropower Station (CHD) to km 362; in the Dniester river and the Prut river on 100 m downstream and downstream of the mouths of the ponds and lakes; in the Danube river within the territorial limits of Moldova.
Against this background, the AM has urged the citizens to comply with the laws in force and maintain cleanliness in fishing grounds and adjacent land.
The Red Book of Moldova includes over 20 species of fish with habitat in aquatic basins in different parts of Moldova.
