
Moldovan president participates in celebration of Lithuania's Statehood Day
Chisinau, 6 July /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu today participated, at an invitation by her counterpart, President Gitanas Nauseda, in a ceremony on the hoisting of the State Flag, on the occasion of Lithuania’s Statehood Day, the presidential press service has reported.
In her massage given at the event, the Moldovan head of state congratulated the Lithuanian nation on the national holiday and highlighted the close relations the two countries had maintained during centuries.
„We appreciate the consistent support on behalf of Lithuania for the democratic development and European integration of Moldova. Lithuania continues to be an example of dignity and courage for our country,’’ President Maia Sandu said in her speech given on the occasion of the holiday.
