Electoral campaign for local elections begins tomorrow in Moldova

Chisinau, Oct. 5 /MOLDPRES/- The Central Electoral Commission has announced that the electoral campaign for the general local elections of November 5 will start tomorrow.

According to the CEC, in the electoral campaign, candidates are prohibited from using administrative resources, including by launching or participating in the launch of infrastructure projects or purchases made from the national public budget, the use of equipment, public assets. 

Electoral competitors are prohibited from organizing concerts, contests, other events.

Electoral contestants can organize meetings with voters, and local public administration authorities are obliged to ensure the possibility of holding such meetings under equal terms and conditions.

CEC warns that the candidates, whose files are under examination by the constituency electoral councils, will start the electoral campaign on the date of registration.
