Chisinau, Oct. 27 /MOLDPRES/- New director of the National Anticorruption Center /CNA/ Alexandr Pînzari appointed yesterday by parliament was introduced to the staff by Speaker Igor Grosu this morning.
The speaker said that the phenomenon of corruption is a direct threat to national security, and the CNA has the mission to act firmly to deter corruption attempts and threats to democratic processes in the Republic of Moldova.
"Two threats are clearly defined in the National Security Strategy, one of which is corruption, which directly attacks the democratic processes in our country. The task of anti-corruption institutions is to deal with this threat with maximum responsibility, therefore it is necessary to focus all your efforts to eradicate these attempts. The legislature will provide all the support to support the institutions in the fight against corruption, and more courage is expected from you", Grosu said.
Pînzari assured that the Center's staff is professional and has the necessary capabilities to face the challenges and tasks set before it.
Alexandr Pînzari was appointed yesterday as director of the National Anticorruption Center for a five-year term, after the Legislature took note of Iulian Rusu's resignation request.
